MANOIR DE PLAISANCE
Manoir de Plaisance is an enchanting 19th century Manor House, standing in the centre of over 12 acres of private parkland.
The Manoir has been sympathetically renovated to provide five bed & breakfast suites, all with undisturbed views of the grounds and countryside beyond.
Dinner is available 4 evenings per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday) Using the best seasonal produce from our local markets we offer a ‘menu du soir’ served in the candle-lit dining room or in the park in the warmer months.
This is a truly tranquil retreat tucked away in the French Countryside, with the plenty to discover in the region including the Marais Poitevin ('Green Venice'), the Ile de Ré and the historic cities of La Rochelle and Rochefort.

THE ROOMS
The Manoir houses five unique rooms, each with its own character, but all sharing undisturbed park views, comfy pocket sprung beds and spacious ensuites with deep roll top baths.
Rooms are individually designed, calm spaces, quietly luxurious, furnished with period pieces collected by us over the years. Beds have been canopied with plain fabrics, and colour is restricted to neutral tones.
All our rooms enjoy generous windows with wonderful leafy views over the park, as well as deep roll top baths and separate walk in showers.
We've added the facilities that make staying away all the more comfortable - 2000 pocket sprung king size beds, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Nespresso Machines & Molton Brown toiletries, We have however left out TVs - but all rooms have wifi to keep you entertained.
FOOD & DRINK
Food is an important part of what we offer at the Manoir. Each morning a bountiful breakfast table is laid with a wide selection to set you up for the day.
Four evenings per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday) a four course dinner is available, either in the candle lit dining room or outside in the park during the warmer months.
Our carefully selected wine list is always available to accompany your meals.

THE PARK
Over five hectares of parkland surround Manoir de Plaisance. The land is dotted with century old trees as well as ornamental ponds.
Guests can also enjoy the Saltwater Swimming pool - sunk into lawn where we allow wildflowers to flourish.

The Charente Maritime offers a diverse range of sites from the tranquil waterways of the Marais Poitevin to the seaside charm of the coast & the islands, to the cosmopolitan air of La Rochelle.
